Kathryn Thompson is a freelance writer, speaker, and graphic designer. She lives in the Seattle area with her computer genius husband and three frequently delightful kids. She believes the world would be a drastically better place if everyone knew how Awesome they were.
Using her trademark humor, Kathryn speaks to groups large and small about positive psychology and how focusing on what’s going right helps things go right-er. She has guest lectured in classrooms from elementary schools to universities and inspired church and community groups around the country with her encouraging messages.
Kathryn has published 4 books with Familius and her blogging efforts have been featured everywhere from The Today Show to The Seattle Times. She primarily blogs at DropsofAwesome.com and was also a founding blogger at The Parenting Post, an award-winning blog run by Parenting Magazine, the creator of DaringYoungMom.com, and wrote for years at the wildly popular site HowDoesShe.com.
Kathryn’s fiction appears in agent and editor slush piles across the country. Before having kids, Kathryn worked as an Associate Librarian at the world’s greatest public library and enjoyed using the bathroom without spectators.
